I enjoyed most the Taylor Swift education center seeing her outfits the young people in there with their energy was better lot and fun to write song lyrics. It was a good start to a tour of entire collection. I couldn't quite get a good narrative from entire collection. I enjoyed seeing many artifacts but it has just way too much stuff and so much audio and visual and so many years. I'm really glad I went but found the whole thing a bit overwhelming there is a ton of walking too. I feel like there could be more guides and less displays a bit more focus and not sure how everything in each era they divided into exactly fit together. But still really glad I went. We found nearby parking on site of former Greek Orthodox church next to Bridgestone Arena. I'm so wowed by seeing Minnie Pearl's hat with tag of course. I know it's a big fan base and country music big story to tell but there was so much all together just way to much for me all at once.
The museum is very grand and there is a lot of ground to cover but I wouldn't do it again or recommend it. A few things were neat to see, but overall, I didn't get much out of the experience. It's a lot of costumes and a few cars with some history rolled in. It's very heavy on some country stars and quite lacking in others. It is 2 floors of history and 1 floor of overpriced gift shop. Perhaps the guided/audio tour would be better.
It started out Ricky. We walked in and no one offered any help. We had no clue where to go. Walked to the entrance side and they said an online ticket needs to go back to the beginning. One lady for 15 people and it took some time. The museum itself was unique. It was really neat to see the country music history.loved seeing the records on the wall. Was somewhere I feel like you go as a tourist and never really desire to visit again. Feel like for $55 we would have seen more and the layout was hard to follow.
ALLOT of walking and allot of reading. Two very expensive gift shops, but really not much relating to various country music artists i.e. Tshirts and trinkets from their particular style. The museum featured from the beginning of country music back in the Blue Ridge Mountains to present day. Some of their wardrobes, guitars, etc. were on display. Some videos were playing of various performers.
